Session Description:
Description: Come learn a practical approach to moving systems management functionality from the traditional heavy ConfigMgr to the modern cloudy Intune.  This session will focus on the modern management features that traditional organizations can adopt today without wholesale leaving their existing investments and needs behind. We will also look at the gaps that still exist between marketing and reality when it comes to Modern Device Management.

What you will learn:
  • The first baby steps a ConfigMgr admin can take start with Intune
  • How to adopt Windows Update for Business while still using ConfigMgr for reporting
  • How to use Configuration Service Providers (CSPs) in both Intune and ConfigMgr
  • Understand the gaps that exist today in modern device management-only scenarios, and strategies for removing them as blockers
