With Azure data centers coming up in all regions of the world, more and more enterprise customers are looking to migrate their business to Azure.  There are many questions and considerations enterprises must go through as they decide to embark on this journey. One such consideration is how well are they are protected when running their business in Azure and how do they achieve the same levels of protection as their current on premises backup and DR strategies. Traditional backup and DR players from the on premises world have taken the approach to provide this by simply “lifting and shifting” backup and DR solutions to run in an IaaS VM that compromises benefits of the cloud such as PAYG and freedom from managing backup and DR infrastructure.
